LUSCA Film Fest Announces Official Dates for its 2024 Edition

Showcasing a lineup 'out of this world', the festival promises a week of captivating cinema this october

San Juan, Puerto Rico. April 21, 2024. – The LUSCA Film Fest, the Caribbean's most anticipated cinematic event, is pleased to announce the official dates for its 2024 edition. This year, the festival will take place from October 17 to 23, once again promising to be an exceptional showcase for genre cinema with a selection that promises to be "out of this world."

Zoilo Rodríguez, the festival's director, shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming event: "We are excited to return and celebrate the best of genre cinema. This year, our selections are truly 'out of this world,' with teasers that reflect a special yet-to-be-announced theme we are sure will delight our audiences."

LUSCA Film Fest continues its tradition of presenting a diverse and exciting mix of films, spanning from horror and science fiction to fantasy and beyond, attracting both cinephiles and creators from around the globe. This year, the festival aims not only to entertain but also to inspire and provoke thought through stories that push the boundaries of imagination and creativity.

The festival organizers invite filmmakers from around the world to submit their works by the registration deadline of July 1, 2024. The festival features both local and international categories such as Best Feature Film, Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy Short Film, Best Horror/Thriller Short Film, among others, highlighting the broad spectrum of talent recognized at LUSCA.
